Organizing international credit mobility presupposes that the Estonian higher education institution has already received support for cooperation with a specific partner country from Erasmus + and the European Solidarity Corps Agency.
An Estonian higher education institution sending a lecturer or employee on learning mobility must have an Erasmus partnership agreement with the host institution before the start of the learning mobility. Higher education institutions in partner countries must be recognized as higher education institutions in their country.
Prior to the learning mobility, the lecturer or employee draws up a study or training plan in a prescribed format, which must be coordinated and approved by both the sending and the host institution. This ensures that the lecturer or staff member considers the Erasmus period as part of the employee’s working time at the home institution.

Upon returning, the lecturer or employee who participated in the learning mobility must submit a certificate and a formal report confirming the completion of studies or participation in the training at the partner higher education institution to the Erasmus coordinator of the Estonian higher education institution.
plus travel days
With Erasmus + international credit mobility, you can go to almost any country in the world if your home institution has Erasmus partner institutions there.
With the international credit mobility, you cannot go to Erasmus + program countries (EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey), Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Faroe Islands or Switzerland.
Each higher education institution that has joined the Erasmus + program has an Erasmus coordinator who can provide more detailed information on participation in the program, partner institutions, partner countries, application deadlines, etc. In larger universities, Erasmus coordinators have also been appointed to academic units.
